Below Deck Mediterranean has come to a close without much fanfare.  The crew cleaned up Sirocco one final time and headed back home.

The Below Deck Mediterranean crew had a lot of ups and downs throughout the season.  Starting with Chef Mila and her microwaved tomato nachos, complete with stand-up taco kits.  Of course, Mila got fired only a few charters in.  Cue Chef Anastasia whipping up some undercooked steaks and chicken caesar salads while crying a lot.  Then finally cue Chef Ben coming in to cook on one burner and make risotto in a quick six hours.  And that’s only the drama with the chefs!

Captain Sandy Yawn fired Mila and brought on June to assist with the interior.  June couldn’t recognize her own name over the radio so when Anastasia stepped down from chef to third stew, poor ol’ June got the boot back home.

Hannah spent her time arguing with everyone like she does and not decorating tables as Sandy wanted.  To be fair, there is no Party City on the Amalfi Coast.  Sandy wanted “five-star” tables and she got “Olive Garden staff lunch” tables, but what did she expect?  Hannah doesn’t like to work.

Now, on to Captain Sandy herself.  At the start of the season, there was no mention of the importance of table decor.  Obviously decorations are a part of the whole gig, especially on theme nights, but for Sandy to flip out on the last day of the last charter about the table decor not being up to par for breakfast seemed a little ridiculous.

When Colin tried to quit so that June could stay and finish out the season because yachting wasn’t his passion, Sandy basically begged him to stay.  During the finale, Sandy told Hannah she was better off quitting yachting because it clearly wasn’t her passion.  I love it.

Travis spent the season drinking.  Aesha spent the season working.  Jack spent the season avoiding work but also wooing Aesha.  Joao spent the season talking about Aesha. Honestly, even though the group lost and gained a few employees throughout the season, I thought the cast meshed well together….for the most part.

Below Deck Mediterranean is over, but Below Deck starts October 7, 2019, at 9 PM ET on Bravo.
