RHOBH: How much of this season was filmed after the fact?

Reshot scenes, boring storylines, continuity issues, made up storylines, and timelines that don’t line up are making RHOBH look bad.

There have been many instances of funky timelines during this season of RHOBH, most notably the scene with Brandi Glanville at Kyle Richards house.  It just so happened that Kim Richards stopped by with Brandi with a microphone on in the car, ready to come in and chat.

They said it was filmed before the Rome trip, in November, but Kyle’s Christmas decor said otherwise.  Also, the ladies were in New York for BravoCon at the time they said they were filming.

The continuity is off throughout

But on the most recent episode, Lisa Rinna sat down with her daughter, Amelia Gray Hamlin, to discuss Rinna’s dancing videos on Instagram.  She told Amelia what Garcelle Beauvais said about it being in poor taste given her family situation with eating disorders.

During the scene, some things felt off.  Amelia’s hat changed a few times and other small bits were different or out of place.  For such an “honest and open” conversation, to know it was scripted really ruins it.  So for whatever reason, something was shot again.  But there seem to be a lot of weird instances like this during the season.

At Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s baby shower, Brandi just happened to be outside, dressed, and microphoned up again.  Teddi asked her “real” friends to leave so the lemons could really hit the fan now that Brandi was coming.  She had a gift was ready to rumble.

Brandi offered up her phone so the women could read her texts with Denise to prove her story was true.  All it really showed was that they were friends.  But why was Brandi waiting outside?  Because production asked her to be?

This article from Extra notes that Denise says they wrapped filming in December and she was then asked to go to two more events.  She did not attend those events, which is why everyone kept saying she “quit filming.”  It seems like perhaps Brandi spilled this secret towards the end of filming.  Since nothing else good happened, they decided to run with the story and bring Brandi back in.

That would kind of explain why the scene at Kyle’s felt so fake, why some of the scenes feel out of order, and why everyone expected the season to be boring…because it was.

It makes you wonder what was left on the cutting room floor if they filmed for months and had no good content.  And why, after bringing Denise on with a four million dollar, four-year contract, they decided to make her personal life the scapegoat of a lousy season.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is on Bravo on Wednesdays at 9 PM ET.
