After Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired earlier this summer, Andy Cohen says he will miss having them on Vanderpump Rules.

It is no secret that Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute got unceremoniously fired from Vanderpump Rules after season 8, and there seem to be no plans for them to be back on television anytime soon.  I mean, rightfully so.  But Andy Cohen told Us Weekly that he will miss having the ladies on Bravo.

“However it ended, you cannot take away how important the two of them have been to that show,” Andy said.  Yes, they were wildly entertaining for 7 wonderful seasons (not the 8th, that was a mess), but sometimes things must come to an end.  And they only came to an end at the expense of Faith Stowers, who Andy didn’t feel the need to mention.

Though Andy does not control the hiring and firing of cast members anymore, it still does leave an icky taste in the mouth of some viewers that Andy will miss people who did such a terrible thing to another person.  It seems because they were fun on Watch What Happens Live, all should be forgiven.

There has been no further announcement on the future of Vanderpump Rules or a 9th season.  The Coronavirus is obviously further delaying the process, with many restaurants still closed due to dining restrictions and social distancing.  There is no real way to know when that will end and filming could possibly resume for another season.

There were 19 cast members during the latest season, but it felt fragmented and over-produced.  If you need that many personalities to carry a season, perhaps it is time to start fresh somewhere new.  A Vanderpump Rules: Las Vegas variety has long been rumored, especially with the opening of Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

With Scheana Shay moving to San Diego, everyone hating Jax Taylor, and the new cast members just not being dynamic enough to hold their own storylines without the original cast…is it time to say goodbye?
