The cast of Vanderpump Rules is doing their best to secure their spots for the next season, and some of them look desperate doing so.

The virtual Vanderpump Rules season eight reunion is upon us, and it was full of dreadful fashions, screaming, and an angry Jax Taylor.  Jax spent most of the season screaming about something or another (pool parties? costumes?) while the rest of the group got out of his way.  Most of the first part of the reunion focused on Jax and his feelings – of which none are valid.

During the reunion, Brittany Cartwright said that no one had ever been as disrespectful as newcomer Charli Burnett had been.  If you take a moment to think about Brittany and her very shallow life, literally every person she surrounds herself with is more disrespectful than Charli.  She’s married to the least respectful person on the cast who cheated on her, how is that not disrespectful?

Jax was truly triggered when Charli told him to go to bed and called him an old man.  Jax is 40, by the way.  Charli said, “I don’t even know this 50-year-old man.”  He also tried to come for Ariana Madix because his obsession with her is never-ending, but Ariana barely gave him the time of day.

Brittany was also very upset about her homophobic pastor being a topic of discussion at the reunion.  She swore up and down that she didn’t know he was homophobic, but this was one of the main issues with the fall out between Brittany, Jax, Ariana, and Tom Sandoval.

Tom had a chance to speak and said that he’s been a great friend to Jax.  He also said he’s never had a friend (or foe) that has done so much terrible stuff to him.  Jax said he regretted having Tom there and was pressured into it by the girls.  Brittany said it was the “hardest day” of her life when she had to call her pastor and remind him he hated gay people.  Imagine when she finds out she’s married to an ignorant bigot?  That will really be a hard day!

All of the cast members seem to be working hard to secure their spot for season nine, if there is a season nine.  Lisa Vanderpump did her best to defend Jax and Brittany but it was not a good look.  It would benefit the show to get rid of the aggressive original cast members that bring nothing to the table except hate.

Can we just have Charli on her own reading the original cast members?  Because that is far more interesting than anything else discussed last night.

Vanderpump Rules is on Bravo every Tuesday at 9 PM.
