Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: The unfortunate fate of this season
By Amanda Cline
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills had a promising start to the season, but it seems the only drama is everyone versus Denise Richards.
It appears that exactly what viewers suspected to happen is happening. Last night, Eileen Davidson, Brandi Glanville, Camille Grammer-Meyer, Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards, and even Kris Jenner appeared at Kyle Richards party. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are all still arguing over a single conversation that took place weeks before this party was filmed, and they just can’t let it go.
The season has been interesting so far. The ladies have ganged up on Denise Richards endlessly while doing nothing else of interest. Now, Bravo has thrown in a bunch of red herrings in the mix to distract us from the fact that nothing else is happening.
While Kyle and Camille were talking before the party, Camille said she felt like she was being singled out to be their victim. “Who was going to take their turn next to go after Camille?” The same thing appears to be happening with Denise now.
The fact that Camille has a confessional filmed in quarantine kind of seals the deal. The drama with Camille was only important after the fact and when nothing else happened with the group. Denise isn’t buying into the “group think” drama and there’s nothing else to talk about.
I know that we love throwing around the term “gaslighting” these days, but the gaslighting of Denise is actually outrageous. To have a bunch of women try to convince you that you are crazy for asking that they keep certain conversations away from children is, again, outrageous.
Lisa Rinna even had the audacity to say Denise is using her kids as some kind of “tactic.” Excuse me? Have we not had to hear about your children’s pay-for-play modeling careers and eating disorders for seasons now as part of your storyline? No one wants to hear about Not-Gigi-Hadid and Not-Bella-Hadid.
Next week, we get to watch Lisa’s kids request marble countertops and a doorman in her next home purchase. Kris Jenner and high-end condos? Is this really the content this season needed?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is on Bravo on Wednesdays at 9 PM ET.
