Below Deck: Kate Chastain joins SiriusXM with her own show!

After departing Below Deck at the end of last season, Kate Chastain announced that she was joining SiriusXM with her own weekly show.

Kate Chastain’s new show, Unapologetically Kate Chastain, will premiere tomorrow, April 14, at 9 AM on Radio Andy on SiriusXM (Channel 102), according to PEOPLE.  After departing Below Deck at the end of the most recent season, Kate packed up and moved to New York City for greener pastures.  There was speculation she was going to work with Andy Cohen and Bravo in a different capacity – and now we have confirmation!

Kate’s show will be a limited series for now, and Kate will be “sharing her unfiltered point of view on pop culture, her daily life, and everything in between.”  Kate is known for her hilarious talking head interviews on various seasons of Below Deck, which left her with lots of fans.

Kate told PEOPLE, “I like to consider myself a recreational sociologist, which is quite liberating because it means I’m not judging people, I’m basically a scientist-ish.”  Kate will take this scientist-ish knowledge and entertain the masses!

Both Kate and her former captain, Captain Lee Rosbach, spent time doing press on television shows, podcasts, and other platforms, which was well-received by listeners and viewers.  Kate has always been touted as a hard worker by Lee, and Andy himself, so she has all of the support of her former co-workers – and her new boss!

It has been rumored that former Below Deck star, Brooke Laughton, would be replacing Kate as chief stew in the upcoming season, but that remains unconfirmed.  Either way, contacts to Kate on the new show and see (hear?) you on SiriusXM!
