Kandi thinks NeNe will ‘relieve some of the pressure’ when she returns to ‘RHOA’
NeNe Leakes is back on RHOA and Kandi Burruss couldn’t be happier.
When NeNe Leakes’ return to RHOA was announced, some wondered what it would mean for Kandi Burruss — the season 9 center of attention. Turns out, Kandi is delighted to have NeNe back on Real Housewives of Atlanta and she’s more than happy to “share the drama.”
Speaking to Life & Style at a Blogger Bash event in New York, she described how the “blast from the past” will be sure to bring the fire, but she’s just glad to have someone else to share the heat.
When NeNe disappeared from the show entirely in season 9, Kandi’s life became the center of attention. For better but mostly worse, much of season 9 dealt with the drugging and attempted rape accusations heaved at Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker by Porsha Williams. (It was ultimately revealed the rumors themselves were totally fabricated by Phaedra Parks — it was real messy.)
Kandi told Life & Style:
"Bringing the blasts from the past back into the future, it’s going to be crazy, I’m sure. I’m just hoping that the craziness is not on me. C’mon now, give me a break this year. Hopefully, it won’t be so over the top dealing with me."
Season 10 of RHOA is shaping up to be quite the season. There’s NeNe’s return, of course, but

there’s also Kenya Moore’s new marriage — the secrecy of which apparently pissed off Bravo executives.
So, Kenya’s new boo may be strong-armed into appearing on the show — or Kenya may be fired — and let’s not forget, Phaedra is gone, allegedly for similar, privacy-related reasons.
Meanwhile, Kandi is also doing double-duty with an Xscape docuseries.
So much drama, so little (air) time.
