By Lacey Womack
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's separation is getting emotional in the latest preview for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season finale. People exclusively shared the preview (below) first and it features Erika Jayne and Kyle Richards getting emotional and personal about Kyle Richards' ongoing separation from Mauricio Umansky -- and all the public responses to it.
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky announced that they were separated after 27 years of marriage last July and since then, things have been off-and-on with the two of them. From allegations of infidelity flying on RHOBH to rumors that one or both of them have moved on and the pair spending Christmas together despite being separated, this separation is certainly messy.
"This is really just about Mo and me. It's not about our family. It's not about external family. It's not about another person – on his side or my side. This is just about Mo and me," Kyle tells Erika Jayne in the preview clip shared on Bravo's YouTube channel in regards to the rumors that the separation might have been triggered by infidelity within their marriage.
Previously, Kyle Richards had explained that things in their marriage were hard for them because Mauricio Umansky prefers to let things blow over while Kyle Richards says she likes to talk things over and work them out, which put a rift between them.
"When we first met, we were really opposites. Complete opposites. And that worked. I always would joke and say – if it wasn't for me, he would be dead, because I keep him safe. And if it wasn't for him, I would never take chances in life."
In addition to having different preferences for working out conflicts, she said that the two of them have always had very opposite personalities, but Kyle Richards says in the tearful clip that it "worked" for them and they "grew" together because of their differences and pushing each other.
Erika Jayne says she should be proud of the life and relationship the two of them built up together, to which Kyle Richards says she's not proud and feels as though she's let down their children, her friends, and the strangers who say how much they looked up to their relationship.
"You have to make yourself happy. You've raised these girls. You've been a good wife to this man. You've been a great sister, a great daughter, but if you're not happy inside – whatever that means for you — you must take that time and find out what you need, and where you need to go with this life," Erika Jayne reassures her in the clip, which ends on a dramatic cliffhanger when Kyle Richards questions whether or not she and Mauricio Umansky will be able to work out their problems and continue their marriage.
