Kyle Richards gets candid about split from Mauricio Umansky

Kyle Richards is getting candid about her split from Mauricio Umansky on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In episode 15 of the show, Kyle being away from her children during the cast trip to Spain sparked some anxiety in her and inspired her to be more open about what she's going through with Mauricio Umansky.

Kyle Richards says she's concerned about her children's feelings

In the episode, Kyle opened up about the fact that she feels like she's sensitive to how other people around her are feeling and that following her split from Mauricio Umansky, she's been worried about him and their childrens' feelings more than her own.

The episode featured a flashback to an episode in which Sutton Stracke brought up rumors that Mauricio had been cheating on Kyle and when Kyle's daughter, Portia, came into the room during the discussion, Kyle shushed Sutton and told her not to talk about things like that in front of her kids.

"It's different for me now. I just feel like everyone's a lot more fragile," Kyle Richards said in the episode.

Kyle Richards said she feels like she's the only one putting in effort

In the episode, Kyle opened up about the cause of her marital issues with Mauricio and talked about the fact that the two of them have very different ways of handling conflicts. According to Kyle Richards, she tends to be the one that gets upset and wants to talk things out while Mauricio Umansky tends to give her space and wait for things to cool off.

"I am more the one that will say, 'This upsets me,' and I have this fiery side, and he just wants it to be peaceful all the time, but that's not always a good thing," she said about herself and also said during the episode that when the two of them do have a conflict, Mauricio Umansky typically thinks that he needs to "give Kyle time and she'll get over it," which Kyle says doesn't work for her.

"I've supported him through everything since day 1 when he had nothing, and when I told him that we are in trouble and I need you to work through this with me, I needed to feel like I was a priority and we were a priority."

Paired with the fact that the two of them are often busy and traveling, putting physical distance between them, the gap between the way that the pair like to handle conflicts has made their relationship tough, according to Kyle Richards.

Although Kyle Richards has been adamant about the fact that she and Mauricio Umansky are just "separated" and not "divorced" yet, she admits that things may not work out for the two of them if she doesn't feel like he's putting the work into getting them back together that she is.

In a confessional during the episode, she said, "If there's no effort made or put into us, we're not going to end up together. We'll never survive this."
