Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aren't the only people with thoughts on the fact that Kyle Richards tattooed a "K" for her own name onto her new friend Morgan Wade. Dorit Kemsley also spoke out about the fact that she feels like her own friendship with Kyle has been suffering and that she feels like she's been "replaced" by Morgan Wade.
Now, Kyle Richards is speaking out and defending herself against Dorit's claims.
Dorit Kemsley thinks Kyle Richards replaced her with Morgan Wade
During the 9th episode of season 13 of RHOBH, Dorit confronted Kyle about the fact that she feels like she had been replaced and pushed out of her long-running friendship with Kyle Richards by her newfound friendship with country singer Morgan Wade.
"What is going on, Kyle?" Dorit asked her after Kyle revealed that she had tattooed her initial onto Morgan Wade. "You put the first letter of your name on her body? You've literally been friends for a year."
She went on to say that she feels like an "afterthought" to Kyle because she feels like Kyle doesn't tell her about any of her new projects or invite her to do things anymore. In a confessional, she expanded on her feelings about Kyle by saying, "I genuinely feel hurt by this distance between Kyle and I. Kyle and I used to go away once or twice, even more, a year. Now, I'm not invited on any of Kyle's trips.
Kyle Richards responds to Dorit Kemsley's claims about their friendship
Now, a month after the episode aired, Kyle Richards has spoken up about Dorit's claims that she's been replaced. When Kyle appeared on Jeff Lewis Live on January 23, Kyle said that she loves Dorit, but that she has a "different" kind of friendship with Morgan than she does with her co-star.
"I love Dorit, but it's not like, you know, my friends, we'll go to the gym, we’ll work out together, we hike together. She doesn’t do that kind of stuff," she explained when talking about the fact that while she and Dorit are certainly friends, it's just not the same kind of friendship that she shares with Morgan.
Kyle even said she thinks that Dorit is exaggerating her feelings slightly to cause drama and Kyle doesn't like that.
"So I was like, ‘Let’s not exaggerate it for the sake of you doing an interview bite to have a moment, ’cause that’s just making problems worse for me.’ And she knows that," Kyle told SiriusXM's Jeff Lewis.
