Halle Bailey responds to fan claiming she 'lied' about pregnancy

In January 2024, Halle Bailey announced that she and her boyfriend DDG had welcomed their first son, Halo, together. This came after several months of rumors that were flying around the internet claiming that the Halle Bailey was secretly pregnant or had recently welcomed a child, which the pair either denied or chose to stay silent on.

Now, after Halle Bailey has chosen to share the news of their son with the world, some of her fans think that she was "lying" when she claimed she wasn't expecting a child. While people on the internet are debating whether or not it was right of Halle and DDG to deny the baby until they were ready to tell the world about him, Halle Bailey has taken to her X (formerly Twitter) account to share her reasons for not being open about him sooner.

"[I]’ll never understand why you are mad i protected my own peace, wouldn’t you do the same?" She replied to the fan who referred to Halle Bailey's Instagram post where she joked about people being excited to get to see the baby. "[A]nd i’m gonna share my pics now if i want to because my son is here safely, if u don’t wanna see it just keep scrolling baby."

Following the exchange with a fan, Halle Bailey said she would be logging off social media for the day, citing her postpartum hormones running too wild for her to be browsing the app any longer. In addition to the back and forth with the fan, though, Halle Bailey shared a photo of herself in a music studio and promised another fan that new music would be coming soon.

Although there are some detractors on social media, it seems like most of Halle Bailey's fans are happy that she's finally ready to share more about Halo and are helping her to fight back against the people accusing her of "lying" about not being pregnant.
