Rumors have been flying since fall 2023 that The Little Mermaid and The Color Purple star and singer Halle Bailey was expecting a baby with her boyfriend, rapper DDG. While celebrating Christmas together, fans thought they heard a baby in the background, which fueled the flames. Now, DDG is speaking out against fans he thinks are too "invested" in their relationship in response to these rumors.

When asked if the pair welcomed a child together in 2023, DDG finally addressed the rumors by saying, "no." But, he didn't stop there with his answer and his critique of fans that he thinks have gotten too "invested" in the pair's relationship.

"Go outside. Touch some grass. Go do a cartwheel in the backyard or something. It's weird. I genuinely don't be understanding. Why do y'all be so invested in people that don't know you?"

He told fans that are speculating on their relationship to "mind business" and that he doesn't understand why people are putting so much time and energy into trying to analyze someone else's relationship and spreading rumors about whether or not the pair have had a child together.

"Whatever is going on in my life or her life is not going to change yours. Let's focus on ourselves. 2024—let's try to lock in ourselves, not other people. Please, mind your business," he said in the Snapchat video.

The rumors started swirling when Halle Bailey was spotted out and about wearing what some fans considered to be oversized clothes to potentially hide her baby bump, but UK Glamour is really where the rumors took off. According to Vulture, a quote from Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock was mistakenly attributed to Halle Bailey.

"Being a mum, being newly married — there’s a positive side of it, but also the negative," Pinnock told UK Glamour in reference to herself having twins with footballer Andre Gray. Unfortunately, the quote was accidentally inserted into Halle Bailey's 2023 Women of the Year Awards profile, leading fans to think that Halle Bailey and DDG had secretly gotten married and had a child.

Whether or not the pair are starting the new year as a family of three, DDG and Halle Bailey have both made it obvious that this is for the happy couple to know and the public to mind their own business about.
