But when fans spotted a former RHOBH cast member in her comment section trying desperately to get Nicki, real name Onika Maraj-Petty, to answer a DM from her, it took social media by storm. The housewife in question? The one and only Kathy Hilton.

Nicki Minaj’s first album, Pink Friday, and the first season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered in the same year (2010), but it still seems surprising that Kathy Hilton, mother of 2000s pop culture icon Paris Hilton, would be such a Nicki Minaj fan. But it seems looks can be deceiving because on December 2, 2023, Kathy Hilton was spotted in the comment section of a now-deleted post by Nicki Minaj, asking her to respond to Hilton’s DM with a warning that she was going to sleep soon, followed by a slew of heart emojis — many in Nicki Minaj’s signature pink, of course.

Although we don’t know what the DMs that Kathy Hilton desperately needed the rapper to see said, her two comments garnered a lot of attention from fans who were torn between laughing at the surprising exchange and trying to help get Nicki’s attention for her. “Hey little Mama, did you read my DM???” The first comment read and she followed up six minutes later with a second that said, “Can anyone help me get our queen to read my DM I’m going to sleep in 30 min. PagingBarbie….”

What could have been so urgent that Kathy needed Nicki to read her DM before the Real Housewives star went to sleep? We may never know, but half-humorous speculation across social media ranged from wanting to collaborate on Nicki’s upcoming album, Pink Friday 2, and an appearance on Hilton’s daughter’s reality TV show, Paris in Love.
