When Kyle Richards announced that she was separated from Mauricio Umansky, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave was sitting by Kyle’s side on that episode of Watch What Happens Live, so it’s no surprise that she’s still firmly on her friend’s side. But recently, she spoke up about the fact that she’s feeling “confused” about how some of the other housewives are acting toward Kyle during this difficult and confusing period of her life.

Teddi first became close to Kyle when she was a main cast member on RHOBH  from season 8 to 10 and even though she subsequently dropped down to a guest star before leaving the show entirely, she’s still taking Kyle’s side in her separation from Mauricio and calling out Kyle’s season 13 cast members.

When speaking to E! News at the 2023 Jingle Ball, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave had this to say:

"I’m so confused as to why some of the women—when she said in episode one ‘I’m struggling’—why no one asked any questions. Why nobody said is ‘there anything I can do?’ Why nobody was an actual friend in that moment. And now, episodes later, are kind of coming at her. Like, she already told you guys and none of you chose to ask. That’s the part that’s hard."

Teddi also said that she thinks every marriage has “extreme highs and lows,” which sounds reassuring for Kyle and Mauricio’s future, especially considering the fact that the two of them seem to be trying to work things out.

Evenough Teddi Mellencamp has no problem calling out the rest of the RHOBH cast while she’s not on the show anymore, she admitted to E! News that she’s glad she hasn’t been involved in the on-camera drama as of late.

“I was so happy to not be at this recent dinner party from hell,” she told them at the 2023 Jingle Ball, referring to a recent episode that featured Sutton and Kyle’s massive fight at dinner.

During the episode, Sutton was making vague implications about the fact that Kyle wasn’t wearing her wedding ring and implying that their separation might be due to Mauricio cheating on Kyle.

Although the majority of the fight focused on Sutton and Kyle, Garcelle chimed in by explaining what they’re all thinking by saying, “I thought it was a make-up band. When your husband messes up and you get a gift. They buy you something to forget what they did.”

This didn’t go over well with Kyle, who shot back that she bought the new ring for herself and explained that she had just been going through a lot recently. She fired back at Sutton’s accusations and Garcelle’s speculation about her ring by saying, “Is that not enough for you guys? Do you want more? Do you want my husband to have cheated and bought me that band that he did not buy me?”

With such a massive fight in the “dinner party from hell” that Teddi was referring to, it’s no surprise that she’s happy to be off the show and not in the midst of all the drama, but also ready to stand up for Kyle, even without the cameras on her.
