When it comes to The Real Housewives, we think about a lot of things, but a haunted house isn’t one of them. But Kyle Richards is changing that for us.

On the Halloween episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Richards was a costumed guest of the talk show. Considering it was the final episode of the spooky season, it makes perfect sense that Kyle Richards and Kelly Clarkson would talk about things like ghosts and hauntings.

According to Reality Tea, the two women were talking about ghosts and Clarkson admitted that she has never seen a ghost but that she would like to. And this led to Richards talking about her own experiences with the supernatural.

In particular, the RHOBH housewife opened up about things that she has experienced in her California home.

Kyle Richards talks about ghostly experiences she had at her California home

Kyle Richards explained that after her mother passed away she started noticing strange things happening in her home:

"Things happen like lights going on where they weren’t even plugged in. My house that I live in now was built in 1882 and moved by trolley in 1912. And I hear footsteps a lot. Every one of my family has heard the footsteps."

It sounds like Richards and her family are not the only ones who have heard strange things at her home. In fact, it seems as if the iconic Smokey Robinson has also experienced the same phenomenon. And since he was the person who lived in the house before Kyle Richards moved in with her family, it makes sense that if the house is haunted, he might have heard something as well.

The housewife explained:

"He said, ‘Oh, have you heard the footsteps yet?’ I did not need to hear that. I was like, ‘I wanted to believe that I was imagining it.’ But the funny thing is like, it feels safe. It’s, like, a good experience."

Clearly, those stomping feet have been heard by others, and it is truly fascinating since it means that there could really be something supernatural happening at her home. And we love that she was trying to pretend that she wasn’t actually hearing anything until Robinson talked to her about the sounds he had heard in the past.

Honestly, even if you don’t believe in ghosts, it is always interesting to learn about what people are experiencing that seems otherworldly.
