Britney Spears removes shirt amid massive legal win
Britney Spears is removing her shirt and cupping her bare chest as father Jamie Spears officially steps down as her conservator. The 39-year-old singer, who has been under 69-year-old Jamie’s grip since 2008, is currently front-page news for seeing her #FreeBritney dream inch towards coming true – earlier today, Jamie agreed to step down, paving the way for the Grammy winner to finally return to controlling her own life.
Britney, who has been vocal on social media about the conservatorship she said left her “traumatized” during her June court address, updated today with multiple posts, two of which saw her in a knotted up shirt and Daisy Dukes.
Britney Spears Stuns Amid Landmark Legal Victory
See the video below. Britney’s father will step down “when the time is right,” per the latest court filings. While no dates have been offered, a court filing today Thursday saw a lawyer for Jamie state the dad to “Toxic” singer Britney as not believing “that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests.”
Britney, who took a while to mention the victory for her 33.1 million Instagram followers, updated saying: “Made you look” while posing outdoors and from her backyard while slowly removing a white, knotted up shirt as she stood in unbuttoned denim shorts.
Britney did wind up fully topless as already seen this month, but she stayed tasteful and protected her modesty. Shortly after, the singer updated in her knotted-up look, telling fans:
“Simplicity at its best … a white collared shirt !!!!! I smoothed my cheeks a bit but I didn’t have to retouch this pic at all 📷 … I just had a good hair day I guess 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ !!!!!”
Just moments ago, the mom of two did mention the news. She shared a whimsical art shot of a woman’s head, writing: “We’re one step closer to your freedom!!!!! #FREEBRITNEY” as she reposted from Mac Daddy.
Today’s court filings see Jamie willing to step down, but the transition “needs to be orderly.” Spears’ newly-appointed lawyer Matthew Rosengart called the news a “major victory for Britney Spears and another step towards justice.”
Britney has been unable to control her finances and many other aspects of her life for over 13 years now. She’s said she wants her father charged with “conservatorship abuse,” even telling a Los Angeles judge that she would “press charges.”
