The Real Housewives of Orange County finds itself in a very sticky situation when Kelly Dodd won’t stop angering viewers on twitter.

Kelly Dodd was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last week along with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Whitney Rose and it was hard to watch.  The Real Housewives of Orange County star seemed to be pretending to be accountable for all of the missteps she’s made this year.  The episode wasn’t four hours long so Kelly couldn’t answer for everything, but she did seem to have a rehearsed answer for everything Andy asked.

Unfortunately, it was all just a performative measure to try and keep her job.  She went on and on about how sorry she was for saying horrible things about the pandemic and her castmates.  Andy asked if Kelly felt bad that she commented that would not stop drinking because she was not “a quitter.”  Kelly said she did not feel bad and thought that the sobriety situation was a “pre-plotting thing that Braunwyn Windham-Burke did to get her own show.”

Kelly went on Twitter not long after to double down that Braunwyn was faking her sobriety for a storyline.  “You are Tamra [Judge] 2.0 with your manufactured story lines… you’ll be exposed soon. Vile & cruel? Look at your ET interviews! #pathetic.”  At the end of her run, Tamra couldn’t even fake a storyline, she just didn’t have anything going on.

Part of what made viewers enjoy Kelly in her first seasons was her quick tongue and lack of filter, but that’s also what keeps getting her in trouble these days.  We definitely should not be faulting Braunwyn for trying to get her act together, even if it is part of her storyline.  Why shouldn’t she try to better herself?  That’s part of growing up, Kelly!  You should try it!

There seems to be a never-ending factory of drama in Kelly’s life and we can’t help but think it’s because Kelly does it to herself.  Kelly commented on WWHL that she regretted her comments about the coronavirus and apologized, but she didn’t actually mean it (again.).

Some viewers seem to share her sentiments about Braunwyn, but that’s not the point here.  If Kelly wants to keep her job, she should learn how to have an intelligent conversation or tweet once in a while.
