With Halloween just around the corner, check out some of the best and spookiest moments on Bravo’s Real Housewives franchises!

Bravo has hundreds of episodes of The Real Housewives spanning over all countries, holidays, and seasons – but Halloween is always the best!  Check out this list of spooky moments on the franchises that made us go “boooooo!”

The scariest of islands

The easiest episode to note on this list is The Real Housewives of New York’s Scary Island from season 3.  Kelly Killoren Bensimon was acting a little spooky while eating jellybeans and shouting across the table at Bethenny Frankel in the episode titled “Sun, Sand, and Psychosis.”  “Oh My God! Al Sharpton! Al Sharpton! No, Put Your Hair Up, It’s Al Sharpton!”  Before that, she accused Bethenny of being a cook and not a chef, which meant she was ill-equipped to make dinner.

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding that trip, including Kelly’s early departure.  At the reunion that year, Andy Cohen noted that production made Kelly leave, though we don’t know why.  The whole thing was an erratic mess, which is what we have come to expect from a RHONY cast trip.

Russel’s ghost

The first season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills brought us the drama with Taylor Amstrong and Russell Armstrong.  The premiere episode showed a gathering at Adrienne Maloof’s home with Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, Kyle Richards, and Kim Richards discussing the recent suicide of Russell.

This conversation was just tacked on to the premiere episode of season two, which then proceeded without further interruption.  There was discussion that the whole season be canceled ahead of time out of respect for the situation, but we know Bravo doesn’t work like that.  Full speed ahead it went.

The Berzerkshires

Any trip to the Berkshires is bound to be good, but Dorinda Medley’s Blue Stone Manor always made for an extra spooky episode!  Mostly because there was always huge drama while on the trip.  Dorinda’s home is already decked out in spider webs this year, but our favorite was back in season 8.

During episode 9,  all of the ladies went to the home and Dorinda delivered one of her most epic lines: “I decorated, I cooked, I made it nice!”  Of course, this was basically in the middle of a drunken meltdown and was followed by Dorinda telling the ladies to leave, but who cares.  It was still pretty spooky to watch.

A leg up

The Real Housewives of New York had an all-star cast member back in season 6 by the name of Aviva Drescher.  Aviva lost her leg in an accident when she was a child and the lack of leg was one of her more interesting personality traits.  During the finale episode, Aviva was trying to prove the point that she had asthma and could not attend the cast trip to Montana because of it.

She produced paperwork from her “doctor” as proof, and then delivered this ridiculous but memorable line: “The only thing artificial or fake about me, is THIS!”  She then removed her prosthetic leg and slammed it down on the table for dramatic effect.  The whole room gasped in horror as they looked on and it was one of the most ridiculous things to happen on the show.

There’s a toy in the piccata

The final spooky episode comes from the most recent season of The Real Housewives of New York City, when all of the ladies headed to Ramona Singer’s home in the Hamptons.  “Ain’t No Party Like a Hamptons Party” found Leah drinking vodka out of Tinsley Mortimer’s cup on accident.  This led to Tinsley, Sonja Morgan, and Leah stripping down to drink champagne in the pool, but not before Leah flung the tiki torches into the yard because they didn’t work with her vibe.

At some point, someone put a sex toy in the chicken piccata and Leah spent the rest of the night screaming.  Tinsley went to bed with a bowl of pasta and the rest, as they say, is history.  Scary?  Not so much, but it will definitely haunt them for a few years.

Bravo, Bravo…Spooky Bravo!
