Leah McSweeney wants more money for the next season of The Real Housewives of New York and frankly, she should get it – especially for a second season!

After her first season on The Real Housewives of New York, an “insider” says that Leah McSweeney was only making $3,000 per episode.  For the whole season, that’s about $60,000 in total.  In contrast, it was rumored that Denise Richards was making $1 million per season for her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

According to an article by Ok!, Leah and Bravo can’t come to an agreement about her pay for next season so they are going to start filming without her.  Leah was offered some kind of raise, but apparently one that was not good enough.  To be fair, Leah was a big part of this season and deserves to be paid more.

Now that Dorinda Medley is leaving and Tinsley Mortimer left halfway through the season, it’s not like there isn’t room in the budget for a bump.  Before that, Bethenny Frankel walked away from one of the bigger salaries on the channel.  Not to mention, the RHONY ladies definitely have the highest cost of living of any of the other franchises.  If Leah can’t even get $100,000, where has the budget gone?

Perhaps this inside information is a way to get Leah the pay raise that she deserves since it puts public pressure on Bravo.  Many viewers have been speculating that Leah wants to bring her sister, Sarah, on the cast, but she doesn’t seem to mesh well with the other ladies.  Sisters on a cast never work very well, ask Kyle Richards and Kim Richards.

No matter the case, Leah certainly deserves a raise!  Without her, Dorinda’s darkness would have been the sole focus of the season.  At least Leah was there to get naked and throw tiki torches in Ramona’s backyard to lighten the mood.

The Real Housewives of New York City reunion will continue next Thursday at 9 PM ET!
