Below Deck Mediterranean: Someone always gets fired after nachos

Below Deck Mediterranean still can’t get it right this week with a Las Vegas themed dinner that might be the last game Chef Kiko plays.

It was another tough night for Below Deck Mediterranean chef Hindrigo “Kiko” Lorran.  While Kiko started strong with some good meals that adhered to the preference sheets, the next night was a disaster.  Hannah Ferrier told him that a Vegas-style menu was a good idea, as if Kiko has ever been anywhere near Vegas.  She did suggest nachos and truffle fries though.

He made fried sea bass, fried chicken, nachos with only cheese (Is that a Vegas thing?), cheese fries, truffle fries, potato skins with ham…and brownies.  Maybe he was thinking Vegas was where marijuana is legal and everyone had the munchies.  The nachos were particularly disturbing though.  What is it with Below Deck and nachos?

Sandy Yawn encouraged Kiko to get through the charter and then sort of suggested he leave after?  In other words, Kiko has been fired ahead of time.  “I get through this, and then I leave.”  But then in the preview for next week, it showed Hannah having a panic attack.  Will the nachos be the end of Hannah AND Kiko?  Say it isn’t so!

But I’m suspicious.  Malia White has her chef boyfriend, Tom, coming to visit the boat in three days when Kiki happens to be leaving in two?  Was this a set up to bring him on to the crew?  It is also possible that Hannah heads out at the same time Kiko does, simply because the charter is over and they are miserable.

There have also been rumors floating around that Aesha Scott returns to the group.  So we lost Hannah and Kiki, and gain Tom and Aesha.  It certainly feels like there is too much meddling by production and Sandy this season.  If Sandy just allowed Kiko to do his thing and express himself, he would have been fine.

Instead, at every meal, she asks the guests what they didn’t like about the food.  She just squashed the passion out of him!  I wonder what Tom will cook…beef cheeks?

Below Deck Mediterranean is on Bravo Monday nights at 9 PM ET!
