RHONY: Leah McSweeney called out Ramona Singer and Avery
By Amanda Cline
RHONY’s Leah McSweeney had some words for Ramona Singer after she celebrated returning home to New York after spending a few months in Florida.
In an Instagram story, Leah McSweeney of RHONY said she was disgusted with “some” of her castmates who flew to Florida to quarantine away from New York while COVID-19 cases were skyrocketing. Ramona Singer went to Florida with Avery Singer to live with Mario Singer for the time being. Many New York residents were criticized for leaving the state to quarantine because it was thought to help spread the disease faster.
Leah continued to say that Ramona was “living it up” in Florida and as soon as cases started rising there, Ramona and Avery headed back to New York. Ramona has been out and about since then, not quarantining like was suggested. Leah also said that it was unacceptable that Ramona was “reaping the benefits” of the residents who have stayed home to keep the numbers down.
Many New York residents echo Leah’s sentiments as so many people fled the state initially so they could be on an extended vacation. Ramona posted to her own Twitter from the airport saying that she was happy to be home and that she “loves New York.” She also noted that the air smells nice.
This, however, seems to be a continuation of their argument after the ravioli-tossing episode aired. Avery and Ramona watched the show live from Boca Raton and did not have anything nice to say about Hurricane Leah.
Leah was very offended at how Ramona acted when she tried to invite her sister, Sarah McSweeney, on their group trip to Newport. Ramona said she was embarrassed by Leah’s behavior, but everyone was embarrassing that trip, Ramona included. Avery commented on Leah’s behavior and, overall, it did not go well.
Ramona hasn’t responded yet…but I’m sure she will! Ramona certainly isn’t the only resident to flee the state so it isn’t clear if Leah is mad at everyone…or just Ramona.
