The finale of Below Deck Sailing Yacht might have been the nail in the coffin of an awful season for Jenna MacGillivray – but Georgia got the last word in.

The finale of Below Deck Sailing Yacht started off with a bang and a potential drug bust, but Glenn Shephard didn’t find anything.  Both Jenna MacGillivray and the new deckhand, Chris Miller, said they thought the guest had white powder under his nose.  For the rest of the crew, the awkward and fruitless drug bust probably means a lot less of a tip.  As the day went on, the guest that was accused of having drugs was not thrilled.

Madison Stalker did her best to keep the guests drunk and happy, but it didn’t really work.  The guest asked to speak with Glenn and accused him of ruining their luxury yacht vacation.  And while the crew is attempting to salvage the day, Jenna was concerned that Madison and Georgia Grobler haven’t been swiffering frequently enough.

But they made it through just to be harassed by Jenna

Jenna and her crew sat down and she tried to give them some kind of lecture / pep-talk and it backfired.  Jenna said she thought that though the girls joked around a lot and continued with, “I don’t personally mind it…” and Georgia responded, “Because you’re the one doing the bullying?”  Jenna responded that she wasn’t immune to being bullied herself.

“You and Adam have made a lot of jokes at everyone else’s expense.”  Georgia went on to say that she felt they undermined the crew because they had their own inside jokes about everyone in-between stolen kisses in the galley.  Madison said she felt scared to go in the galley sometimes because she was afraid of what Adam and Jenna might say to her.

Jenna responded that she thought that Madison asked a lot of stupid questions and she was frustrated by it.  Georgia said that asking questions is an important part of the job, especially for someone new, in order to learn better.  Jenna shaming the girls for asking questions is par for the course with her.

But for the final cherry on top of an awkward final charter, Georgia also confessed her love for Paget Berry to Ciara Duggan on her birthday.  Georgia sang the same song she’s sang 500 times this season and the night ended without much fanfare.

So, overall…

Jenna was a terrible chief stew and should not be in a position of power again unless the crew is into harassment and no learning at all.  Jenna should go back to stew school to learn about empathy, teaching, tone, PDA, and basically everything else a chief stew should know about.

It will be interesting to see if a second season comes around for this franchise, especially given the way the world is right now and the tight quarters of such a vessel.

Below Deck Mediterranean returns for Season 5 on Monday, June 1.
