Below Deck Sailing Yacht: Where do you draw the line on boat PDA?

Jenna and Adam of Below Deck Sailing Yacht were asked to keep their PDA to a minimum for professional reasons, so they did the opposite.

Jenna MacGillivray and Adam Glick have been very busy working on their relationship while on the first season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.  It was brought to Captain Glenn Shephard’s attention and when he verified the information with other crew members, it was obvious what was going on.  Glenn was picking up glasses and Byron Hissey was taking drink orders on the last charter because Adam and Jenna were busy napping together in their room.

Glenn sat down with Jenna and asked her to cool it on all of the touchy-feely stuff that was happening with Adam, and Jenna looked absolutely dumbfounded.  “You want Adam to stop touching me?”  To which Glenn repeated, yes, he did want Adam to stop touching her.  Glenn said that while Georgia Grobler was down for a nap, Jenna was too – and that should never happen with guests onboard.  “So that didn’t happen at all.”  Jenna went on to say that they didn’t sleep together on the counter of the galley so it was fine.

Glenn brought Madison Stalker in to corroborate the story which made Jenna even more defensive right off the bat.  Madison has been doing extra work while Jenna cleans her single wine glass in the galley, but has also been on the receiving end of Jenna’s wrath.  Jenna said she didn’t believe in working for someone who put “the kabash” on affection.

Regardless of their relationship, Madison has a point.  When Jenna is giving instructions for work to her team from Adam’s lap or breaking away from a kiss to give directions – it isn’t professional.  Curled up in his arms at the dinner table while instructing her to do laundry isn’t professional.  Kissing while cooking a seven-course meal isn’t professional.

Imagine how awkward that would be?  Jenna says that because they aren’t actually engaged in intercourse while the rest of the crew is around, it’s fine.  “You are trying to justify your actions.  You’re defending them but they are indefensible,” Glenn said to Jenna.

Paget Berry and Ciara Duggan are in a long term relationship and have managed to remain professional on the boat the entire time.  Jenna is defensive and wrong, there’s no way around it!  But who would hire a chief stew that can’t even refrain from kissing the chef?  They seemed to do it even more after Glenn asked them to stop.

Jenna is showing all of her worst qualities as the season comes to a close.  The lack of professionalism from Jenna (and Adam) for such a high-end vacation is really not in line with the rest of the team and their efforts.  Even Adam’s food has been getting rave reviews, so he doesn’t seem to mind, but when will Jenna realize how bad she looks?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is on Mondays at 9 PM ET.
