What would you do if Bravo split Vanderpump Rules into two different shows to allow for more screen time for the various new and old cast members?

Imagine this: Vanderpump Rules: The New Generation and Vanderpump Rules: OG.  Would you be more inclined to watch either show?  I appreciate the new additions to the show and think they can hold their own for 42 minutes on a Tuesday night.  To be honest, I could do without Vanderpump Rules: OG altogether, but I know the show still has a large fan base.

Hear me out

It feels like I am watching two different shows within one time slot these days and the only connection between the two is Scheana Shay.  It seems like the only thing happening with the OG crew these days is wedding planning.  So perhaps the title can be Vanderpump Rules: We’re literally all getting married!

The never-ending story….of Jax and Brittany

In addition to this, the weddings have taken on a life of their own.  If you aren’t in the wedding or discussing the wedding, you aren’t getting screen time.  We have barely arrived in Kentucky yet for the wedding which means there’s a good chance the finale episode is the wedding.  If anyone believes Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are actually in love, well, that’s a different story.  I see a full season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition in their future.

So what if they just split up the show and stopped trying to integrate the new cast with the old cast?  Scheana can focus on harassing Dayna Kathan at SUR full-time and Jax and Brittany can talk about their wedding for a full hour before that show inevitably gets canceled.

The new girls, Dayna, Danica Dow, and Charli Burnett are interesting enough – give them more screen time!  I enjoy watching them eviscerate the boys with their words.  Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni aren’t interesting enough on their own, but they’ll do in a pinch.

Vanderpump Rules is on Bravo every Tuesday at 9 PM!
