The newest Vanderpump Rules stars, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni, were probably enjoying their 15 minutes of fame, but are they already up?

The premiere of Vanderpump Rules brought some new faces to our screens, but some racist tweets from Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni, just resurfaced that are cause for concern.  Though the tweets have been deleted now, PEOPLE has all of the screenshots.

One of the tweets from Max back on October 10, 2012, said, “It upsets me that the word [expletive] is not allowed to be said unless you are black because quite honestly it’s my favorite word. [EXPLETIVE].”    Another read,

"“Something about Asians that just makes me want to punch them in the suck hole.”"

Max apparently gave a statement to PEOPLE that said, “I want to sincerely apologize for what I tweeted in 2012.”  He said he was “disgusted and embarrassed” and he was “truly sorry.”  Surely he is sorry he got caught tweeting about how he’d like to hurt those of Asian descent.  These tweets were not even hard to find – did Bravo look into these kids at all?

PEOPLE has screenshots of Brett’s tweets too, including his use of the hashtag #womensuck.

"“[Expletive] act funny when it comes down to money even if they your boy!”"

Another one of note read, “Who else tryna smoke [expletive] me too cuz.”  The use of the n-word so casually and frequently isn’t a good sign for Brett.

Brett also apologized with a tweet that read “I want to express my deepest apologies for the insensitive, ignorant, and hurtful comments I made.”  Though his apology is a nice way to save face, it is vague and doesn’t really address the issue.  Both of the men have made their twitter accounts private in the wake of the news.

Since the season just started, it wouldn’t be hard for Bravo to re-work some scenes and cut the pair entirely.  Crazier things have happened.  But considering the backlash from The Real Housewives of Dallas stars, LeeAnne Locken and Brandi Redmond, it would seem it would be in Bravo’s best interest to do something about it…but will they?

Vanderpump Rules is on Bravo every Tuesday at 9 PM!
