The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Wear red or get read at the Bailey-Que

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is gearing up for the event of the year, Cynthia Bailey’s Bailey-Cue.  I don’t think anyone was ready for all the reading.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is full of babies this year, but the Bailey-Que is no time for acting like a child.  The theme of the party is, “Wear red or get read,” and there not enough red worn.  The whole crew gathers at Cynthia Bailey’s home to twerk, eat, and fight.

Shady gift-giving

Kenya Moore brought a gift for Porsha Williams, even though this was Cynthia’s party.  As Porsha opened the gift, Kenya said that the doll had a home prior to going to live with Porsha.  She said her “energy” would be better in Porsha’s home.  Apparently the doll was a shady gift from Eva Marcille that she’s now re-homing.  Who is the shady gift giver now, Kenya?  Eva did wear a white dress with pops of red, so I believe she got read.

“I hope the energy of this gift makes your daughter smile.”  Meanwhile, Eva is sipping on some orange juice and fanning herself on the patio.  Porsha responded by telling Kenya she was being shady, so they went out to see Eva to “fix it.”  Kenya is mad that Eva didn’t bring her kids to Kenya’s party.  The party further disintegrated from there and Eva left.  So much energy!  Where did the doll end up?  Don’t leave the girl homeless!

Back to Nene and Marlo

On the other side of things, Nene Leakes had Marlo Hampton and Yovana (aka Gail Momplaisir, don’t ask) over to her house.  No, they didn’t go in the closet.  Anyway, Cynthia and Nene are still on the outs after last year’s finale showdown.  Yovana told Nene that when she met up with Cynthia, off-camera I’m assuming, Cynthia had some major shade to throw at Nene.  Cynthia apparently said to Yovana, “Being friends with you [Nene] is toxic, a burden.”

During their last lunch, Nene got up and left Marlo at the table in her gold-lame-sequin-one-shoulder jumpsuit all alone.  Nene says she wants to clear the air so she can move on, but Nene is also the one making the air toxic…Once again, do we still need Nene on the show?
