With RHOA, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, slated to return in November, we begin to dive deep into the story angles. Is Kenya Moore’s story a believable one?

With RHOA, or The Real Housewives of Atlanta, slated to return on November 3rd (this Sunday!), there are tons of fun storylines to potentially dive into. One that stands head and shoulders above all others for me is the return of RHOA alum, the illustrious Kenya Moore.

Kenya Moore left the show prior to last season to supposedly focus on other things. These included the starting of a family, which included her getting married, spending more time with her then-husband, and the birthing of her new baby girl. According to everything we were told up until this point, it was for these reasons that Moore chose to leave the show.

Upon leaving RHOA

Kenya wanted to invest all of her energy, time, and being into fulfilling these long-desired family tropes and visions for herself. Fast forward along one year in time, and we are right back to where we were before she left. Moore is the mother of a baby daughter and according to all reports, no longer married.

With Moore’s return to the cast though, that led to this thought. Which came first, her desire to return to the show or the deterioration of her marriage?

While the show should be better for having her back, these things are significant for a few reasons. With the constant questioning of reality television as being staged in all actuality, you have to ask yourself, is she returning because she doesn’t have a husband to have feelings to worry about, or was that all storyline to set up her return in the first place?

For me, it is the latter.

From everything we have ever seen from Moore, she is the type that you can’t take seriously, can’t believe much of what she says, and can’t trust as far as you can see her. While we know that most “celebrities” are constantly chasing clout or press, Moore has infamously been guilty of this in the past.

Besides a run from years ago along the television and beauty pageant circuit, what does Moore even do? That is the fundamental question I ask myself when thinking about the motivation for some of her actions. She needs the ups and downs, the highs and lows, or the manufactured drama in her life to remain relevant, for the show and in general as far as being a celebrity.

So in case you hadn’t figured out, I believe that all of her moves thus far have been calculated.

Moore knows that she has to remain relevant to continue to enjoy the perks of being a celebrity.  If you ask me, the marriage, the tantrums, and dare I say, the baby, are all attempts by her to steal storylines and to continue to build her brand and profile. This is not an attempt to “make fun of” or “humiliate” her child, as all babies are beautiful blessings from above, but this is an attempt to highlight that her motivations are never pure.

So, what came first with Moore, the chicken or the egg? I believe Moore has had the entire thing planned for this exact moment, her triumphant return to the cast of RHOA. We will never know for sure though, and that’s exactly the way she wants it to be.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season twelve will premiere this Sunday, November 3rd, 2019.
