The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Erika Girardi, is back in the news for a lawsuit involving her husband, Tom Girardi.

Erika Girardi, known as Erika Jayne, joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills back in 2015.  Her husband, Tom Girardi, was sued by Law Finance Group earlier in the year, claiming he owed almost $16 million in loans.  As of December 2018, the amount was $15,151,989.00.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband is being sued for “breach of written contract and breach of written guaranty.”  The actual lawsuit says, “Mr. Girardi and his law firm…were used to maintain Mr. Girardi’s lavish lifestyle and to keep his prominent law firm afloat.”  He’s being accused of bankrolling Erika Jayne’s XXPEN$IVE lifestyle.

Tom was ordered to pay Law Finance Group the $16 million back in May.  The full payment was due on June 7, 2019, but Tom was only able to pay back $10 million.  At the time of filing on July 8, 2019, Tom had not made any additional payments.  He still owes an additional $6 million.

The firm was back in court earlier this month but got denied.  It appears they will discuss it at a later hearing.

In 2016, Tom was ordered to hand over personal bank statements that detailed his spending.  He was accused of misappropriating over $12 million from a settlement.   He’s been involved in a few other lawsuits, but I suppose that comes with the territory.

Some of the other RHOBH couples have been in the news lately too.  Dorit Kemsley recently claimed she froze her own bank accounts in order to keep her money from being seized.  Kyle Ricarhd’s husband is also being sued for his involvement in the sale of a home through his firm, The Agency.

Andy Cohen recently said that all of the lawsuits are fair game for the reunion.  I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this one gets any screen time.  The reunion part II is on Tuesday, July 23 at 9 PM ET on Bravo.
