Below Deck Mediterranean’s “Too Many Cooks In the Kitchen” finds them, obviously, with too many cooks in the kitchen. And a crying Joao in the galley.
Below Deck Mediterranean has been full of delicious meals so far this season, including stinky shrimp and pineapple salad, a lovely spoiled french crap dip, Ore Ida stand and stuff tacos, as well as some canned corn salsa nachos. It has truly been a gourmet dining experience.
This week on Below Deck Mediterranean, Mila tries pancakes!
The guests didn’t enjoy their dinner, so Captain Sandy says they are going to give the guests a “hearty breakfast” the following morning.
Keep your pancakes, Mila
The guests ask for two over easy eggs, two scrambled eggs, and some pancakes. The pancakes look unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Mila takes the comments personally (as she should) and starts shouting, “SPECIAL PANCAKE BATTER” while holding up an Aunt Jemima box (as she probably should not).
“Holy s–t. Awful Chef.” Sandy says to Jack.
At this point, Sandy decides to send the charter guests off to land for lunch and brings third strew Anastasia into the kitchen to help with dinner.
Captain Sandy lays down the maritime law
Mila gives Hannah some attitude and says Hannah should cook dinner if she’s unhappy with it.
Hannah tells Mila, “Anastasia needs to cook because your food is s–t,” before escaping the galley.
Mila, ever gracious, says, “I’m kind of being patient with Anastasia. My jacket, my galley.”
I’m sure Mila is frustrated that no one likes her food, but I’m also not convinced that Mila is actually a chef, so we remain at a standstill.
A delicate meal of foam
Anastasia serves some raw beef topped with horseradish foam. Neither the main charter guest or Captain Sandy eats raw meat, so that goes over well.
Mila did make a salad with parmesan that the guests enjoyed.
The next round is a very gourmet spaghetti and meatballs.
One of the guests is a self-proclaimed meatball expert and critic. The meatballs pass the test.
Unfortunately for Mila, this meal is pretty well received, even if it isn’t the most creative thing they’ve ever served.
I don’t get why Sandy hasn’t fired Mila yet, besides not having a replacement available. Where is Chef Ben hiding? Is he in the engine room?
The crew ends up getting a pretty big tip, I think the highest of the season so far, of $18,000.
This begs the conversation: should Mila accept the tip since she did nothing? I have a feeling this is going to be a highlight of next week’s episode, especially when they go out to party.
Below Deck Mediterranean is back next Monday at 9 PM ET on Bravo!
