Low blow? Teresa Giudice slams Modern Family star Sofia Vergara

Some say the real Teresa Giudice is back after hearing her rant about a meeting with Sofia Vergara. 

Recently, Teresa Giudice was asked about her worst celebrity experience. Normally this would elicit some funny story about an awkward meetup or some sort of snafu. When it comes to this RHONJ housewife, that wasn’t exactly what happened when she described meeting Sofia Vergara.

Teresa was at a Gettin Real With The Housewives event in Connecticut when she let loose a xenophobic rant about the Modern Family star according to TMZ. It turns out that Teresa’s experience with Sofia was just a week prior to her rant so the meetup was definitely still fresh in her mind.

‘We’re in the green room and my publicist from Bravo says, ‘You’re going to run into Sofia so we want you to take pictures together.’  I said: ‘Alright that’s fine,” Teresa recalled.

It turns out that Sofia Vergara is not “a big fan of the Real Housewives of New Jersey star. To make matters worse, Teresa charged that Sofia was incredibly rude about it right in front of her.

“Sofia was ‘Oh I can’t stand her,'”Teresa told her fans. “We were in the green room and I hate to say it because I’m Italian and she’s Colombian. She has an accent, more of an accent than me.”

“You think she would be nice,” Teresa continued. “You know she’s an immigrant. No, but I’m just saying, she should be nice.”

Some have taken offense to Teresa Giudice’s suggestion that Sofia Vergara should be nice because she’s not from the US. It’s really hard to understand why that had anything to do with this rant. Granted, Vergara was rude to say she doesn’t like Teresa where the RHONJ could hear her, though.

Teresa wasn’t done telling her story despite sounds of shock and dismay from the crowd. It seems that Sofia Vergara’s treatment of the Bravo star got worse rather than better.

“So they take a picture and this is how she wanted to take a picture with me but she didn’t want to take a picture. I’m here so I’m standing and she goes like this (showing that Sofia stepped in front of her) to take a picture.”

“And I didn’t even do anything, I swear that’s what she did. I was so mad at myself because I wanted to say: ‘B***h I didn’t want to take a picture with you.”

After it was all over and the picture was taken, Teresa contends that Sofia continued her rudeness when she turned to her publicist and said, “Why did you make me take that picture with that woman?”

To prove that she didn’t make the story up, Teresa said that even her make-up artist Priscilla DiStasio heard what was going on.

This isn’t the first time that Sofia Vergara has been portrayed as a bit of a diva. She has worked up a bit of a reputation as being hard to work with.

That said, Teresa Giudice didn’t do herself any favors in telling this story the way she did. Immediately, she was criticized for bringing up the fact that Sofia is an immigrant as if that has anything to do with how she should behave.
