Danielle Staub explains how she and Teresa Giudice were able to make up after past RHONJ drama

At one point, RHONJ fans were certain that Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice would never be friends again but here we are.

In previous seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice fought so hard that they had to be separated. In one instance, Teresa even flipped a table on Danielle and called her a “prostitution whore.”

As years have gone by, it seems that both RHONJ stars have softened up which can be good or bad for the Bravo series. Danielle returned for Season 8 as producers hoped to turn up the drama and in turn, the ratings.

Still, RHONJ fans were perplexed by the truce between Teresa and Danielle. What seems to be even more confusing to longtime Bravo fans are the claims that Teresa and Danielle are now “thick as thieves” according to People. 

According to Danielle Staub, not only were she and Teresa Giudice able to put the past behind them, they’ve become friends as well. It turns out that, at least for these RHONJ ladies, a sincere apology is all it took.

“Teresa and I are on a new path,” Danielle told  People. “We’ve both apologized and owned up to things we’ve done in the past.

As proof that hell may have frozen over, Teresa Giudice even agreed with her former foe. She even wrote about making up with her old enemy in her new memoir, “Standing Strong.”

“Danielle and I are friends now,” Teresa wrote. “We have a lot more in common than I thought. That’s what I’m saying about how things evolve. You never know who will come in and out of your life at different stages or for different reasons. I forgave her, she forgave me. … All is good with Danielle and me, which is how it should be. I’m truly thrilled she’s on the show.”

It turns out that part of the reason that Teresa and Danielle ended up making up had to do with the RHONJ Season 7  reunion show. Danielle said that she saw Teresa on the show and was moved by what she said. It was clear that Giudice was ready to move past their longtime beef. After watching her former enemy admit that she wanted Staub back on the show, she was willing to make amends.

Now that the RHONJ veterans are friends and back on the Bravo hit together, the show’s ratings and the general reaction after the Season 8 premiere have been good. That said, not everyone is so happy to have Danielle Staub back on their screens.

Danielle has a reputation for being a troublemaker among RHONJ fans. So far, she’s been off to a pretty good start and may change the viewers’ opinions of her too. That is still yet to be seen.
