Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 8 premiered on Wednesday with Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga but one New Jersey housewife was not there.
Jacqueline Laurita was on RHONJ for seven seasons but decided to sit the newest season out. Despite having been there from the beginning, or perhaps because of it, she saw herself become the odd housewife out after Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga repaired their relationship.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jacqueline made it sound like Bravo didn’t want her back on the show. “. “I think the feeling is that I no longer have an authentic connection with two of the season’s cast members … I think they feel I no longer fit in with the group.”
Based on what Melissa Gorga is saying, that sounds about right. However, who is to blame depends on which Bravo star you ask.
When Teresa was released from prison and was able to return to Real Housewives of New Jersey, she was ready to mend fences and fix relationships. She did just that with Melissa even though many RHONJ fans thought that the sisters-in-law would never be friends again.

When it came to Jacqueline Laurita, Teresa also reportedly tried to repair their broken relationship. The problem is, the two still just couldn’t stop butting heads.
Jacqueline said it’s because Teresa kept bringing up the past despite being the one who wanted to move past it.
Last season on RHONY, Jacqueline flew into a rage and went off on both Teresa and Melissa. She said that Teresa was a “f**king criminal” and then called Melissa a “fake, phony b***h.”
Now fast forward to Season 8 and Jacqueline is long gone. In a recent interview, Melissa Gorga admitted to People that when it comes to Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita, there will probably not be any mending of that relationship. At least not anytime soon.

That doesn’t seem to bother the current stars of RHONJ too much anyway. The show went right on without Jacqueline Laurita. Melissa Gorga was throwing shade the whole way even recently commenting that there aren’t any passive women on the show anymore which should make for some very interesting reality TV.
