Ever since the season 4 finale of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, there has been a lot of talk around the reveal that housewife Monica Garcia was actually part of the Reality Von Tease Instagram account. According to Garcia, the producers of RHOSLC knew that she was connected to the account that spills all the tea on the housewives and what is "really" happening behind the scenes.

However, while Monica Garcia might say that the producers knew about her connection to the tea spilling blogging account, that is not what they say. In fact, according to US Weekly, while Garcia is saying she told everyone during the casting process, Andy Cohen is denying that is what happened.

Over the course of the RHOSLC Season 4 reunion episodes, there was plenty of talk about what transpired this season, but of course, it feels like the Monica drama was always front and center. And that is why Lisa Barlow had questions for production. She actually called them out for casting someone who was only here to "f—king take every single one of us out."

Cohen directly addressed the housewives during the third episode of the reunion show by telling Garcia, "If you’d said you run a burner account we wouldn’t have cast you."

Even after Andy Cohen made it clear that they would not have hired Monica Garcia if they knew about the burner account, the production for RHOSLC wanted to make it clear that they had no idea. Lisa Shannon, the SVP for Shed Media spoke out about the situation, making it clear that the last thing they would want to do is basically alienate the rest of their cast just for that level of drama.

"You have to have the trust of your cast. And we would never jeopardize the trust of the cast, nor would the network, nor would Andy. Especially over something so seemingly silly — and not knowing that it’s going to pay off. We just would never do that. Especially with the entire cast — you’re really blowing up your relationship with everybody."

That being said, they did say that if they had known about her connection to Reality Von Tease, they would have told her to open up about it much sooner. And maybe it is us, but that sounds like they would have absolutely hired her if they had known, but they would have utilized it for a bigger storyline.

Whether or not the producers really did know about Garcia's connection to the tea-spilling Instagram account, it is clear that the rest of the RHOSLC cast is upset over what went down and the person who was brought into their midst. And honestly, we don't even blame them.

It will be interesting to see how this whole situation will shake things up in Season 5 of RHOSLC. How will the housewives come back from what was basically a massive betrayal from someone they took under their wing?
