Ranking the housewives of RHOSLC based on their online popularity

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City returns for its fifth season on September 18, and ahead of the premiere, we are taking a look at the housewives and their popularity. And while we don't yet know how the newest addition to the series will connect with the fans, we are taking a look at all the previous housewives, as well as the OGs who remain part of the cast today.

Thanks to data pulled together by experts in trends from Wethrift, we know which housewives are the most popular on social media, who gets the most searches, and more. And of course, that information has been compiled and aggregated to come up with a full ranking of just how popular each of these women really is with viewers and fans.

It was also revealed that searches for information about RHOSLC and the housewives has actually increased over the last three months. In fact, according to the data sent over in the press release, "Google Trends data reveals that search interest for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has surged by a remarkable 666.7% over the past three months."

So how do the ladies of Salt Lake rank? Who is the most popular housewife on RHOSLC?

How do the women of RHOSLC rank based on online popularity?

1. Heather Gay - The most popular housewife on RHOSLC based on not only her following on social media, but also the searches related to her name, Heather Gay leads the charge amongst her cast mates (current and past). Considering she is a published author, with a second book on the way, her being the top housewife actually makes a lot of sense.

2. Monica Garcia - Monica may have only been part of one season of RHOSLC, but her popularity with the viewers actually helped bump her into second place in the rankings. As part of the information used to determine her popularity, it was revealed that the former housewife, "has 443,098 followers on Instagram and 19,370 on X. Her search volume is 15.31 per 100,000 residents in the US and 6.39 per 1 million worldwide."

3. Meredith Marks - Our third most popular housewife is Meredith, who actually has an impressive Instagram following of 576,625 followers, which is not that far behind Heather. It helps that she also has a jewelry line that brings people in.

4. Jen Shah - While she may no longer be a housewife due to her incarceration, Jen Shah actually remains high in popularity. Part of that is due to the online searches related to her prison sentence.

5. Lisa Barlow - Lisa Barlow is the fifth most popular housewife, with "385,244 followers on Instagram." And since she has her own tequila brand, that actually makes sense.

6. Mary Cosby - While Mary has not been a full housewife since the second season, she is set to return as a main housewife in Season 5. It should be interesting to see if her popularity rises now that she is back with her Snowflake in hand.

7. Whitney Rose - It was slightly surprising to see how far down the list Whitney Rose is considering she is an OG housewife and has been present in every season. But it seems like she is not a fan favorite, which can be seen in the fact that people aren't really searching for information about her compared to the other ladies. However, we do have to point out that she does have "459,527 followers on Instagram."

8. Angie Katsanevas - It seems like Angie Katsanevas has a ways to go before she will rise in the popularity ranks. In part, it doesn't help that she has just "54,976 followers on Instagram."

9. Jennie Nguyen - Only being part of Season 2 means that it was not a big surprise that Jennie is at the bottom of the pack when it comes to popularity. And considering the drama around her exit from the series, it actually isn't a surprise that she is in ninth in terms of being a popular RHOSLC housewife.
