The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been giving us plenty of drama since their first season. And Lisa Barlow has definitely been at the center of plenty of that drama. So it probably comes as no surprise that she is getting criticized for wearing real fur.

However, Barlow doesn't really listen to her haters. And it is one of the things that we tend to love about her. She has no problem defending herself against her critics and in this case, she is defending the fact that she is wearing items made with real fur.

According to Reality Tea, Barlow was recently asked about her "bold" decision to wear real fur pieces publicly. The RHOSLC star had plenty to say and she is not shy about her love of fur. In fact, she made it clear that she believes that wearing fur is on trend, especially right now.

"I’m always a fur girl. I know it’s so controversial, but I love wearing fur."
Lisa Barlow

Lisa Barlow claps back at fur comments

This is not the first time that Barlow has been confronted over her choice of wearing real fur. In the past, she has pointed to it being better for the environment. While we do think that wearing vintage fur has a place since it has already been made and thrifted pieces are a way to help the environment, we know that this is not what the housewife is saying at all.

So what exactly is the RHOSLC's defense when it comes to buying and wearing fur?

"I think if you really do your homework, you’ll see if they’re made sustainably. It’s, like, major for you to wear that as opposed to faux fur."
Lisa Barlow

Barlow has made it clear that she is not on board with the faux fur trend and she completely believes that real fur pieces are not only on trend, but the way to go in terms of fashion.

Clearly Barlow is not here for any of our criticisms over her fashion choices. And she really doesn't care what we think about her choice to skip the faux fur and go for the real thing.

Are you at all surprised by Barlow's stance on wearing real fur? Do you think she will continue to receive criticism from animal lovers and organizations like PETA?
