Megan Thee Stallion, superstar rapper behind songs like "Savage," has taken on a new alter ego, Mother Fitness, in a partnership with Planet Fitness to encourage everyone to get healthy and get their best body (-ody, ody, -ody...) without having to worry about judgment.

In a press release put out by Planet Fitness, the brand announced that the collaboration between the brand and the rapper will include: "advertising and commercial spots, a unique AR filter, charitable co-branded merchandise and free in-app Planet Fitness workouts, inspired by Megan and her passion for fitness."

According to Megan, the partnership is one that came naturally to her as someone who cares about her body, but the "Cobra" rapper said that it's not just about physical fitness, but about being in a good place mentally, too. While speaking to People about the partnership, Megan said:

"Physical and mental health go hand-in-hand, and it’s a huge priority for me. For such a long time, our society had a negative stigma around mental health, so I’m committed to doing my part to normalize the conversation and provide people with the right resources to get the necessary help."

Earlier in 2023, Megan Thee Stallion appeared in a mental health-focused PSA by the Ad Council urging people to check on their friends. "I would tell all the Hotties it’s okay to be vulnerable. It’s okay to open up. It’s okay to be honest about how you’re feeling," she addresses her fans in the PSA, part of a series that has also featured other stars like Billie Eilish and Noah Cyrus.

Along with the new advertisement for the gym franchise, Megan has also teamed up with them to create a line of merchandise that donates back to Megan's own non-profit foundation, the Pete & Thomas Foundation, an organization that serves women, children, and senior citizens in Megan's hometown of Houston, Texas with health, housing, and education.
