Kody Brown, the patriarch of the Sister Wives family, has been through some major changes in his romantic life in recent years. Though the show started with Kody Brown having three wives and courting a fourth, he’s currently only married to his most recent wife, Robyn Brown. During the December 17 Sister Wives: One on One special, Kody revealed that he’s had some new realizations about his thoughts on having multiple spouses. But is Robyn on the same page?

Kody Brown’s exes think he’ll move forward with only Robyn Brown

Following a previous One on One special in which Kody Brown admitted that he was never truly in love with any of his previous wives and only actually fell in love with Robyn Brown, it seems that Kody has realized his missteps and acknowledges that if he were to have another wife in the future, he would be more honest with them about his feelings for Robyn.

“I would have to tell that woman I will never love you as much as I love her,” he acknowledges during the episode in which he says that he “wouldn’t be interested” in bringing another woman into his marriage.

According to his ex-wife, Janelle, Kody has been talking more and more about monogamy, so she believes Kody when he talks about not courting another new wife and believes that he has found his happily ever after with Robyn Brown.

Janelle, who was one of the original three wives in the marriage when Sister Wives premiered, was the second wife to get married to Kody Brown and also the second to leave the marriage.

According to Janelle, “They have found something together at this stage of their life that seems to be very deep.” Even though the road has been rocky for Kody and his first three wives, Janelle says that the fact that he seems happy to be monogamous with Robyn now is “okay.”

What did Robyn Brown say about her former sister wives?

According to Robyn, monogamy was never her goal when she started courting and married Kody. She opens up on the Sister Wives special about the fact that she wants to be respectful to Kody’s wishes and agree with his stance on not taking on a future wife, but she worries that it would be disrespectful to Meri, Christine, and Janelle — Kody Brown’s ex-wives.

After being told that the three wives wanted Robyn to be happy in her marriage with Kody, a crying Robyn said that she was never told that personally, so she doesn’t know how to accept it.

“They haven’t shared it with me off-camera,” Robyn says in the emotional special.

Although it seems like Kody Brown is totally ready to be all-in on his marriage to Robyn Brown and move on from his past marriages and polygamist image, it looks like it might not be so easy. Although Robyn Brown says she wants to be happy with Kody, she’s hesitant because she’s worried about the vows she made to the other wives and Kody’s children with them when she got married to him.
