If there’s one thing we can count on in every season of the Real Housewives, it is the cast trip. But for RHONJ fans it sounds like the Season 14 trip has been canceled.
For a while now, there has been news that the cast of the New Jersey housewives were heading to the Berkshires for their cast trip. This also opened the door for a bit of a crossover, as Dorinda Medley from RHONY has a house there.
However, recently news broke that the cast trip for RHONJ had been canceled. And now, Andy Cohen is revealing exactly what happened.
Andy Cohen explains why the RHONJ cast trip was canceled on Season 14
According to Reality Tea, while speaking to Danny Pellegrino on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, the Bravo host explained that originally, the women were planning a trip to the Berkshires that would include some filming at Medley’s home in the area, Blue Stone Manor. However, the original place that the group was planning to stay in actually burned down.
While Pellegrino wanted to know why they could not shift to staying at Medley’s home, Andy Cohen explained that while they would not have minded a crossover of sorts, Blue Stone Manor and Dorinda Medley are part of a different show. And they didn’t want that much of a combination of the two different series.
Although some reports have indicated that Season 14 of RHONJ is “boring” because of the lack of interaction between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, and that may be why the trip was canceled, according to Cohen that’s not the case. Instead, the cast trip was canceled because where they were planning to stay, literally burned down.
We hate to hear that the reason behind the cast trip’s cancellation was due to a fire, and we hope that no one was injured in that fire. Hopefully, a new trip is planned. Or at the very least, that RHONJ Season 14 finds a way to still go out with a big bang.
