With the strained relationship between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and the Royal family hanging by a thread, King Charles has made a shocking decision to evict the pair from their UK residence.

According to reports, King Charles III sanctioned a request for Meghan and Harry to vacate their UK residence, Frogmore Cottage — a move that insiders report has left the couple feeling shocked and blindsided. While the pair were initially ordered to vacate the residence within a matter of weeks, it’s now stated they have until early summer to vacate, which would put the eviction in a range after the coronation set to occur in early May.

In a report from YahooFinding Freedom author Omid Scobie reports that Meghan and Harry have been left “stunned” by the request for the couple to vacate Frogmore Cottage. He also alleges that the news has also left at least two members of the royal family feeling “appalled.”

Why are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry being evicted from Frogmore?

In announcing that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage, reports indicate the couple has been asked to leave their UK home so that Charles’ brother Prince Andrew can move in. However, many insiders believe the move is the direct result of Harry’s recently published biography, Spare.

Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie claims the pair were evicted from their home due to Harry’s anger over Harry’s memoir. In fact, it’s believed that the decision to evict the pair from their residence — a residence that was gifted to them by Queen Elizabeth II — was decided shortly after Spare hit shelves.

This is a sentiment that is felt by others including one friend of the couple who told Yahoo Life, “It all feels very final and like a cruel punishment. It’s like wants to cut them out of the picture for good.”

Scobie alleges that the communication between Harry and his family has reached an “all-time low” and we have to imagine Charles’ decision to evict the pair from their home definitely isn’t going to help mend those fences in any way at all.
