One of the stars of Wednesday, a Netflix show, has been accused online by multiple women of sexual assault. That star is Percy Hynes White, a previously unknown actor whose character quickly became a fan favorite in the series.

I won’t get into full details but Hynes White has been accused of being racist, having inappropriate contact with underaged women, and throwing parties with his friends for the sole purpose of getting women drunk to sexually assault them. If true, this is bad.

There haven’t been any formal accusations. By this, I mean that nobody has filed charges against White, despite mounting evidence being shown through social media. Even though this looks like a bad situation, there is no concrete evidence to back up the sexual assault accusations.

In a time like this, you just hope that they’re false. Still, any accusations must be taken seriously.

Will Percy Hynes White be in season 2 of ‘Wednesday?’

Season 2 has already been renewed and officially announced, so it will still be happening. It’s a tough situation to handle and it hasn’t even been addressed by Hynes White himself or Netflix yet. You have to assume that both parties are aware of the situation though.

It seemed like Percy Hynes White was destined to take on another large role in season 2, as his character’s storyline was left on somewhat of a cliffhanger at the end of season 1.

That said, the amount of public outrage surrounding this situation is clear — just look up “Percy Hynes White” on Twitter. This could quickly turn into a situation where he is cut from the cast based on accusations alone. Sometimes, shows will do this to avoid any sort of backlash toward the actor in question.

Some fans have suggested a replacement in the case that Percy Hynes White is taken out of Wednesday.

Even though there hasn’t been any evidence of sexual assault, this is a bad look for Percy Hynes White. There is a video of him saying a racial slur and some questionable photos of him on a toilet. There are also countless videos and screenshots that showcase his contact with young women.

I’m not going to link these but a quick Twitter search will get you what you’re looking for.

That said, the worst case here is likely the replacement of Hynes White from the show. His character, Xavier, looked like he was going to be a primary character, so it’s hard to see a world where he’s written off of the show entirely. That said, it’s not entirely out of the question.

dark. Next. What happened to Lia Marie Johnson?
