Rebel Wilson reveals surprising secret to 70-pound weight loss

Rebel Wilson has opened up on the one thing she feels 100% aided her recent 70-pound weight loss. The Australian actress is now a shadow of her former self as she enjoys her new healthy lifestyle, and every Instagram update from her has media outlets bursting at the seams.

Rebel vowed to make 2020 her “year of health.” Now down a staggering 70 pounds after having hit her goal weight of 165 pounds last fall, the 41-year-old has been speaking out.

Rebel Wilson Talks Weight Loss Details

Scroll for photos. Rebel’s most recent snaps have been showing off her super-slim figure in hot pink swimwear from a vacation, with 2021 also seeing the star rock chic designer looks during her Europe travels.

Rebel, who fronts wellness brand Olly, opened up on Instagram Live last year, where she revealed a mindful eating approach and a refreshing exercise one. No fancy-pants or Kardashian-style gym equipment for this star. Rather, it’s old-fashioned outdoor walking.

“I’m in a lucky position … I do have access to really amazing personal trainers but I want you guys to know that the majority of the exercise that I’ve done this year has just been me going out for a walk,” she stated. “That is free, you can do it, it’s safe.” The “Pitch Perfect” star actually revisited the topic of low-intensity exercise as she opened up to Shape this year, telling the magazine:

“While there I learned that moderate — not even fast paced — walking is the best way for me to lose unnecessary body fat.”

The body-positive actress, who has admitted she still battles food and uses chocolate as a vice on tough days, has made headlines for continuing to indulge in candy, but she’s burning it off. Rebel listens to podcasts as she gets her steps in: “I know it’s getting colder…but just give it a go. If you can do an hour — that’s what I like to do when I go walking — it is the best,” she added.

Wilson, followed by over 10 million on Instagram, has seen fans wondering if she’s lost a little too much weight, but the bulk seem to think the “Senior Year” actress is looking her best ever. She’s even snagged herself an Olly partnership amid her weight loss – the vitamin gummies brand is also fronted by 35-year-old actress Kaley Cuoco. Gushing over her love of the outdoors, Rebel concluded:

“Weirdly, I never thought I would like hiking, walking uphill,” adding: Like, who would have thought that’d be a fun activity? But frick it’s good. To be out in nature, get that air into your lungs. I really really love it and so I do that now all the time.”
