Rebel Wilson has bravely shared a tennis snap of herself prior to dropping 70 pounds and during a period she called her “most unhealthiest. ” The 41-year-old actress, who continues to make headlines for her weight loss, updated her Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a photo from a tennis tournament and looking very different to how she does today.

Rebel, who made 2020 her “year of health,” has largely been fronting media outlets for her itty-bikini bikinis and smaller-sized clothing this summer, but it was a trip down memory lane as the “Pitch Perfect” star looked back on it.

Rebel Wilson Shares ‘This Old Photo’

Scroll for the snap. Wilson, who lost the weight via mindful eating and credits old-fashioned outdoor walks for helping her shed the pounds, shared a photo of herself all smiles and at night while on a tennis court. The Australian, wearing a dark blue Adidas tee and dark yoga pants, was markedly heavier, something immediately mentioned as she took to her caption.

The Olly wellness partner told fans that she normally posts “flattering” photos of herself, but that she’d “found this old photo in my emails and was like: “Woah!”

“I remember this was when I was at my most unhealthiest – being overweight and indulging way too much with junk food. Using food to numb my emotions,” she continued.

Speaking of low self-esteem after her father passed away from a heart attack, Rebel said she found it “interesting” that the image showed her smiling when, in fact, she was in so much “pain.”

“I look back now at that girl and am so proud of what she’s become and achieved. And just wanted to send out some encouragement to everyone out there struggling with weight or body issues or emotional eating. I feel you,” she told fans.

The photo, which gained over 600,000 likes in 24 hours, also caught the eye of an A-List celebrity. “Friends” alum Jennifer Aniston threw Rebel the thumbs-up. Wilson had closed on a motivational note, telling fans it’s “never too late to start improving yourself.” The blonde also reminded her followers that it’s not a “race” or a “competition.”

In late 2020, Rebel went on Instagram Live to discuss her weight loss, revealing that despite being well into her journey – and hitting her goal weight of 165 pounds – she still battles food. The star admitted to turning to chocolate after a long day’s filming.
