Britney Spears smells her roses in peasant crop top

Britney Spears is all flower crowns in a skimpy peasant crop top as she marks one year and nine days since the launch of “Project Rose.” The 39-year-old singer still hasn’t explained the full details of the photography project first making headlines last year, but she was out to remind her followers about it in a weekend Instagram share.

Posting for her 33.3 million followers, the “Toxic” hit-maker updated while smelling a fresh pink rose, also wearing the striped crop top that she clapped back over last year. Spears had, in 2020, garnered negative comments for repeatedly wearing the same look, even firing back and joking about wearing the “same top 17 times.”

Posting after her latest win – dad Jamie will be stepping down as her conservator – Britney went fun and cheeky while sniffing her rose, also wearing her flower crown and teeny tiny white hot pants.

Showing off her golden tan and rock-hard abs, the Grammy winner looked gorgeous as she delivered an eyebrow raise and slight smile, with the caption announcing “Project Rose  is a year old and 9 days old !!!!”

“Why does this project smell so f-cking good still today 🤔👃🏼 😂 ???? Psss if you look closely the mood ring I’m wearing was for my song MOOD RING,” Britney added.

#FreeBritney, still rejoicing over the news that Spears is set to be let free from her father’s grip, has been replying. The movement is, however, still stumped over what “Project Rose” is. Britney had debuted a series of backyard snaps with flowers over 2020 as she announced the photography project, one that quickly morphed into a “RED” phase as Spears wore sheer pantyhose and a black shirt for edgier photos.

“But what was Project rose?” the leading comment reads. “Still no clue what project rose is Brit,” another fan said.

Spears had addressed the project in September of last year. Reappearing in the striped top worn today, she’d told her fans:

“A lot of people have been saying that a lot of my posts are not new but they’re old. But just to let you guys know, none of my pictures or posts are more than a month old,” adding:

“Yes, I know. I did wear the same top 17 times, but it’s for a project – Project Rose. And you will be seeing way more of Project Rose in the future.”

Britney’s post quickly gained a celebrity like from actress Selma Blair. The singer has garnered mass celebrity support amid her conservatorship woes, with A-Lister members of the #FreeBritney movement now including 28-year-old singer Miley Cyrus and superstar singer Mariah Carey.
