RHOD: Did Brandi Redmond quit the show?
The Real Housewives of Dallas are back this week and better than ever! While D’Andra and Kary have finally buried the hatchet, it seems as if drama is brewing with Brandi Redmond.
Brandi Redmond is making quite a stir on the Real Housewives of Dallas, and it’s all because of her past racist video. The scandal came about when a 2017 video of Brandi resurfaced online after the star had originally posted it to her Instagram Stories but deleted quickly it after receiving backlash.
Well, it was no surprise that the controversy would make it on this season, especially with cast newbie Tiffany Moon joining the group. Moon made Housewives history when she became the first Asian housewife.
After leaving China when she was only six years old for New York City, Tiffany not only navigated American life without a lick of English as a kid but fought through prejudice and discrimination, a heavy topic surrounding the show after Brandi’s actions.
Despite Brandi apologizing to Tiffany and moving forward from the video, it seems as if Redmond just can’t shake the paranoia. In the latest episode, Brandi revealed she feels very “hyper-aware” and “paranoid” around Tiffany, mainly out of fear she will say something offensive.
While not being racist is an easy feat, it appears as if Brandi is struggling to find a balance between simply being herself, and not being offensive, however, fans are wondering whether that is being herself.
The season has been a tough one for Brandi Redmond, who shared that following the scandal, she began to experience feelings and thoughts of suicide, which ultimately led her to a stay at a rehab.
Did Brandi Redmond quit The Real Housewives of Dallas?
Considering viewers have been voicing their thoughts, things may be too much for the RHOD star to handle, so much that she may have just quit the show for good!
On February 21, 2020, Brandi posted a photo of herself followed by a bible verse on Instagram. The shot was accompanied by a rather cryptic message:
“I prayed that the baggage of mistakes, feeling rejected, used and unworthy are no longer tied to anyone’s soul. I’m choosing to set myself free. I also want to thank you all for being apart of my journey these past few years. I have loved sharing my life with you but sometimes things come to an end,” she wrote.
Fans and followers immediately assumed Brandi had announced her departure, however, the star has yet to confirm or deny the rumors. Despite her keeping quiet about what her message really meant, it seems as if other Housewives stars, such as Margaret Josepjhs, also believe she quit! “To say you will be missed is an understatement,” Josephs commented on the pic.
While Bravo fans continue to wonder what’s really going on, perhaps it is best for Brandi to take a step back from the limelight and focus on her family, especially now that she’s welcomed one more to the mix!
The Real Housewives of Dallas airs on Bravo every Tuesday at 9/8c!
