Erika Jayne: Tom Girardi has 14 days to move or be evicted

One day after the husband of Erika Jayne was deemed mentally unfit and placed under conservatorship, there was another major update in the Tom Girardi fraud case.  Jason M. Rund, the chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee assigned to their case, has moved to take over the $16.5 million Pasadena house.  This is a huge issue for Tom and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, mostly because of the perceived value (or lack thereof) of the house.

While Tom needs help from his brother in managing his financial and personal affairs, he now will no longer have a place to live.  According to Attorney Ronald Richards, Tom has 14 days to vacate the property voluntarily of Rund can move to evict him.  On the attached Zillow link, the house has an estimated value of $6,860,854.  These estimates can often be inaccurate, but it is still a far cry from the original value.   If this was one of the major assets left for Tom, this is more bad news.

The $16.5 million number was given by Tom himself in a financial document from Mar. 2020.  Not only is the house allegedly millions less than initially thought, but there is a lot of debt attached to it now.  The house will likely be sold regardless of its value to pay off the mounting debt from all of Tom and Erika’s adventures.

The Trustee assigned to the case, Leonard Pena, requested access to the property in order to inspect it to put it up for sale.  According to the Statement of Facts in the cast, “The Trustee was not provided with access for various reasons, many of which (including the Debtor’s health conditions) may not be resolved for many months.  At the same time, the Property is not being adequately maintained and expenses of the estate continues to accrue including insurance payments.”

Tom has 14 days from Feb. 2 to turn over the house, which is Feb. 16.  Where will he go?  It truly appears he is just going to avoid suffering the consequences of his actions as long as possible.  We proposed a few weeks ago that Tom and Erika were going to have their own Schitt’s Creek moment with all of their belongings and home being forcibly taken away, but it truly seems like that might be what happens two weeks from now.

Meanwhile, Erika is still unbothered.  She’s having lunch on the beach with the castmates and selling bags on Instagram.  Heartless, horrible, and a total hack.
