The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13 got two new cast members, Drew Sidora and LaToya Ali.  Though Drew is a full-time cast member, we’ve seen very little of her interacting with the group up until last night.  Drew first came on the scene with some wild drama with her husband, Ralph, leaving town without telling her for a few days.

It seems Drew is trying to rehab her initial image on the show by showing Ralph in a better light.  To start that off, he made a joke about making sure he has life insurance on her.  Suspicious!  At the part during the most recent episode, Ralph was on his best behavior and helped serve the ladies at Drew’s party.  Does that change anything about how the audience feels about him?  Probably not.

LaToya has basically been by Kenya Moore’s side during every scene.  She’s been at the group events and it was rumored that she filmed confessionals before her husband decided he didn’t want their personal life on television.  She was demoted to a friend of the cast at some point before the season premiered, but she still seems to have more facetime than Drew does.

It almost seems like LaToya was the one who was supposed to be full-time while Drew should have been a friend of the group, even though they both obviously filmed solo scenes with their families.  Drew has barely been at any group events before her own dinner party.  Was this a last-minute switch when the original plan didn’t pan out?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta added Drew Sidora and LaToya Ali for season 13.

Either way, we’ve finally arrived at the cast trip to Charleston and it sounds like the drama is just getting started.  We know these ladies can’t ever pick their rooms in a civil fashion, so Ms. Marlo Hampton is about to flip out about her blue room.

All we know is that LaToya was trying to make waves with her comments about Drew’s wig, and it worked.  Porsha Williams sang like a bird as promised, and the situation is about to stir up some feelings in Charleston.  Who was the better addition for RHOA season 13?  The jury is still out.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is on Bravo on Sundays.
