Cynthia Bailey is still full speed ahead with the wedding planning on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but is she making the right decisions?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is halfway through the thirteenth season, but somehow very little has transpired.  For Cynthia Bailey, this season has heavily focused on her upcoming wedding to Mike Hill.  Unfortunately, it seems that a brizezilla alien has inhabited the body of Cynthia because she is not acting like herself at all.  Even though we are in the middle of a global pandemic, Cynthia is can only think of herself and her huge wedding.

10/10/2020

Cynthia and Mike have been arguing about changing the date of their wedding from 10/10/2020 to something else, but Cynthia was having none of it.  Mike even posed the question of if she was excited to marry him or just to get married on the date, regardless of the person.  The couple sent out a bunch of invitations either way and had 167 people confirm that they would be coming, a lot of them flying.  They sent out 250 invitations and seemed surprised that people actually agreed to come.

On top of that, Cynthia has quite a history with her dad but wanted to invite him anyway.  A few seasons back, both Cynthia’s father and brother walked her down the aisle.  Not long after, Kenya Moore had a domestic violence PSA that they filmed a segment for.  Cynthia’s mom participated in the PSA and told her story about domestic violence situations with her father.  She even mentioned that he got insanely violent and grabbed a knife.

Mike seemed to think her father should be there, but it’s entirely possible he does not have the whole story.  Cynthia thinks it is weird people are worried about flying, Mike thinks it’s okay to invite someone that abused her mom to the wedding, and he wants to invite Porsha William’s ex, Dennis McKinley.  What is even going on at this wedding?

Noelle, the voice of reason

Once Cynthia told her daughter, Noelle Robinson, that she planned on inviting her dad, it was clear Noelle did not agree.  They went to discuss the situation with her mother and she obviously did not agree either.  “For you to invite her to your wedding is a horrible position to put her in,” Noelle said to the group.  Everyone seemed to agree with Noelle.  “I haven’t really seen him.  But you know who I have seen?  Granny.  I don’t even have to think about how many times I’ve seen her.”

So why is Cynthia being so selfish this season?  She’s usually fairly easygoing and easy to like but this season she’s really been on the wrong side of things consistently.  Not a good look, Cynthia!  Is this just because of the wedding, or is something more going on behind the scenes?
