As season 15 of Real Housewives of Orange County has come to a close, we’re left with a lot of questions about what’s next for the show.

The Real Housewives of Orange County is one of the original Real Housewives franchises on Bravo.  Because of this, there has been a lot of ups and downs for the California franchise, but it seems they are at a stalemate these days.  With the addition of Braunwyn Windham-Burke last season and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas this season, it still seems that something is not working with the cast.

Last year, Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge were fired after being a part of the show for all 14 seasons.  It was expected that season 15 would be a transitional season prior to the addition of the pandemic.  Adding the pandemic to an already weak cast left much to be desired with the show.

There was conflict between the cast members but then nothing really got resolved.  The women thought Elizabeth wasn’t being truthful about a lot of things but that went nowhere.  Braunwyn did her best to flip every conversation to be about herself and her sexuality, which got very grating.  She seems to think being awful to her husband and ignoring her kids is somehow entertaining, but she’s wrong.  Gina Kirschenheiter is living her best life with her boyfriend Travis, which offered a boring but happy storyline.

Shannon Storms Beador mostly struggled with the virus when her daughters contracted it and brought it home.  Her oldest daughter, Sophie, is headed to Baylor for college.  For all the hubbub surrounding Kelly Dodd off-screen, she was actually kind of likeable this season.  It isn’t clear if she’ll be back though.

In the last few minutes of the episode, it seemed like everyone just gave up and said, “good work!”  There was no time for resolution and it didn’t appear that anyone cared.  Clock out and collect your paycheck on the way out.  It was a bit uninspired all around, but I guess how could we expect any more?

Whatever the case may be for season 16, The Real Housewives of Orange County does not need to bring Tamra back.  We aren’t that desperate.

The Real Housewives of Orange County is on Bravo every Wednesday at 9 PM.
