Okay, fine. Your favorite addition might not be Garcelle Beauvais, but who would your pick for the best new Bravo housewife from 2020 be?
We might have lost a lot of great housewives in 2020, but who would you consider to be one of the best new additions to the Bravo franchises? Broken down by each franchise, some of the newcomers are Wendy Osefo, Elizabeth Lyn Vargas, Sutton Stracke, Garcelle Beauvais, and Leah McSweeney. Who would you leave in 2020, and who deserves their seat for 2021?
The Real Housewives of New York
Though we lost Dorinda Medley after this season of The Real Housewives of New York, Leah McSweeney was a solid new addition to the cast. Ramona Singer also brought her friend, Elyse Slaine, along to the cast, but quickly got rid of her when she didn’t fit her agenda any longer. Leah is returning for a second season and seems confident enough in her position to go after Ramona, which we can’t wait to watch!
The Real Housewives of Orange County
Elizabeth Lyn Vargas was brought on to replace Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson on The Real Housewives of Orange County. To be fair, those are some dramatic shoes to fill. The jury is still out on Elizabeth, but she seems to be a one and done housewife. So far, most of what she has shared seems to be inaccurate or false information. Braunwyn Windham-Burke did a deep dive into her past to locate her skeletons, of which there seem to be many.
The Real Housewives of Potomac
Dr. Wendy Osefo was a favorite new addition to the cast of The Real Housewives of Potomac. The doctor was not afraid to stand up to any of her castmates, and her beautiful family was a joy to watch! Wendy seems like she has the sense and strength to be a long-time housewife, and we hope she returns again!
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke both joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in lieu of Lisa Vanderpump leaving the show. Sutton was only given a friend role, but we still enjoyed her interactions with the cast. Unfortunately, she aligned herself with the RHOBH Mean Girls, which we didn’t love. Garcelle stood strong against the Mean Girls alongside her friend Denise Richards.
Garcelle basically did the impossible. She came in to replace a fan favorite and stood up against the more popular cast members in order to have her friends back in the situation. She wasn’t afraid to dance with Lisa Rinna when Rinna tried to make her look stupid and didn’t let crying Kyle Richards manipulate her. Garcelle was the only bright light on this lackluster season.
The entire cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are new, so they don’t really count. However, it will be interesting to see who returns for season two and what changes between now and then. In addition to that, Drew Sidora recently joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but it’s too early to make a call on her yet. We do know that her husband does not deserve a sophomore season as a husband, though.
Tune in to Bravo for the latest episode of The Real Housewives.
