RHOBH’s Erika Girardi has officially hit a new low! She blames an alleged affair Tom Girardi had more than a decade ago for all of their problems.
Things are happening very quickly in the case against Erika Girardi and Tom Girardi. This week, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was offloading her designer goods on an app called Vestiaire Collective, a French luxury resale site. She was ordered by the court to stop selling clothing because it could have been a way to stash cash outside of the United States.
Late last night, Erika posted to her Instagram with 2.2 million followers a bunch of screenshots that allegedly show texts between Tom and someone else. The caption read: “This is Justice Tricia A. Bigelow. She was my husband Tom Girardi and he was paying her Saks bill and paying for her plastic surgery.” The texts also included some photos of the woman.
Once she deleted that, she posted clips from Game of Thrones of one of the characters blowing up her village with the help of her dragon. Um, Erika? What is going on? Those texts prove nothing at all, except that sexting has come a long way.
She left the woman’s phone number in the screenshots, but they appear to be from a long time ago. Based on the way the texts look, the lack of smartphone, and the position Erika claims this woman was holding at the time, internet sleuths date these texts from around 2005-2006 or 2015-2016 based on the days of the week and the fact that the phone is using 3G.
Erika and Tom have over $30 million in claims against them right now for embezzling and are facing bankruptcy, in addition to a lot of other unsavory claims. So Erika thought she could just blame everything they are being accused of on a 15-year-old affair? Truly despicable.
At this point, we would be surprised if Erika has any real fans left. We can’t imagine her lawyers are suggesting she pull wild infidelity theories out of her hat and post them to Instagram to help her case. We can’t imagine showing off her luxury clothing items in her closet was on her attorney’s to-do list. We also can’t imagine someone could brag so blatantly about stealing from orphans and widows, but here we are.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be back next year on Bravo.
